Dr. Akil Alexander
Dr. Akil A. Alexander is a general and cosmetic dentist with a practice scope focused on smile design, digital dentistry, and implant & prosthodontic surgery. He earned a combined Bachelor of Science in pre-Dentistry, Biology & Chemistry, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University, with honors.
Advanced Training and Fellowships:
He received certifications for advanced training in oral implantology at the AAID Toronto Implant Institute. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI) and Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (FAAIP) and a Diplomate of The International Dental Implant Association (DIDIA).
Education and Professional Development:
Dr. Alexander is a lecturer and Key Opinion Leader for Straumann/Neodent. He is currently an adjunct clinical faculty member at the Implant Pathway Continued Education Continuum program in Phoenix, AZ. Not only does he perform surgery for the All-on-X procedure, but he also restores, and lectures about these procedures to dentists locally and nationwide. Overall, Dr. Alexander’s passion for patient smile transformations, education continued professional development, and utilizing innovations in digital dentistry has furthered his interest in creating practices centered on the common goal to provide the very oral healthcare experiences to empower patients to look and feel their best.
